SC/APC Couplers
SC/APC couplers provide a reliable method for connecting and aligning SC/APC fiber optic connectors in singlemode optical networks. Designed to maintain signal continuity and low insertion loss, these fiber optic adapters are widely used in telecommunications, FTTH, broadband, data center, and enterprise network applications.
SC/APC couplers are passive fiber optic adapters used to join two SC/APC connectorized fiber cables, creating a continuous optical path between network segments. The APC (Angled Physical Contact) polish features an 8-degree angled end face designed to minimize back reflection, making SC/APC couplers particularly well suited for applications where return loss performance is critical. These couplers are commonly deployed in Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) networks, passive optical networks (PON), telecommunications infrastructure, broadband systems, CATV networks, and other singlemode fiber applications.
Available in simplex and duplex configurations as well as various mounting styles, SC/APC couplers can be installed in fiber patch panels, wall-mount enclosures, fiber distribution hubs, splice closures, and network cabinets. Their precision alignment sleeves help ensure consistent optical performance while supporting reliable fiber management and connectivity. Whether extending fiber links, building cross-connect systems, supporting FTTH deployments, or organizing optical infrastructure, SC/APC couplers provide a dependable solution for high-performance fiber optic networks.
