Shielded CAT6 Cables
Shielded CAT6 cables provide reliable, high-performance Ethernet connectivity with additional protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI), radio-frequency interference (RFI), and crosstalk. Designed for environments where electrical noise may affect network performance, shielded Cat6 cables are commonly used in commercial, industrial, telecommunications, data center, and structured cabling applications.
Shielded CAT6 cables combine twisted-pair copper conductors with a protective shielding layer designed to reduce interference from surrounding electrical equipment and help maintain signal integrity. Depending on the construction, shielding may consist of an overall foil or braid, individually shielded pairs, or a combination of both. These cables support Gigabit Ethernet and can accommodate higher-speed Ethernet applications over shorter distances when the complete network channel is properly designed and installed. Common applications include connecting servers, switches, routers, wireless access points, IP cameras, VoIP equipment, industrial controls, and other network devices.
Available in a variety of cable constructions, lengths, colors, conductor types, and jacket ratings, shielded CAT6 cables can be selected for demanding networking environments. They are particularly useful in facilities containing motors, generators, industrial machinery, fluorescent lighting, or other potential sources of electromagnetic interference. When paired with compatible shielded connectors and properly grounded equipment, shielded CAT6 cabling provides dependable network performance for commercial, industrial, enterprise, and data center installations.
