Description

The new compact Hooked Hanger Sheave design features an outer, heavy-duty arm, that handles cable tensions up to 12,000 pounds around any pulling angle from 0 to 180 degrees. We have also designed a light-duty, second arm used for suspending the sheaves inside the manhole. This second arm conveniently stores inside the heavy-duty arm keeping it out of the way when the application does not require its usage. Simply remove two small screws when the light-duty arm is needed and the arm is ready to use.
Our sheave rollers are made of high strength cast aluminum but can be ordered as Nylatron*, if needed. The sheaves are fitted with high capacity, iron-copper, flanged bushings that are self-lubricating. Finally, our 1-1/4 diameter axles, which are some of the largest and strongest in the industry, come with a large rubber coated handle for easy installation or removal.
*Nylatron offers enhanced surface wear behavior along with superior impact and fatigue properties. It is non-conductive and is recommended when using steel rope due to its ability to flex back versus forming a groove in the roller. Some additional benefits include:
