UHF stands for Ultra High Frequency and this series connectors were developed in the 1930´s when UHF was
introduced and it was considered a High Frequency. They were designed for the radio industry use in low frequency systems from
0.6 up to 300MHz.
They were developed according IEC 169-12, with a threaded coupling and low cost.
