Ni-Cad cells with pocket type plate electrodes have been successfully used for many decades. They have been proven and tested to meet operating requirements under the most extreme conditions.
Low discharge rate cells (KL) available from 11AH to 1,000AH
Applications are general purpose and stand-by applications, in which discharge is not frequent and is made during long periods. The typical operation condition is on float charge, thus ideally suited for applications such as telecommunications and back-up for power stations.
Medium discharge rate cells (KM) available from 11AH to 1,250AH
These cells are suitable for medium discharge periods between 30 minutes and 5 hours, being ideal for both stand-by and UPS applications as well as gas turbine applications.
High discharge rate cells (KH) available from 10AH to 235AH
High discharge rate cells have a special plate design to achieve a higher performance through increased active material exposure. Switchgear tripping and closing, UPS, and engine starting are ideal applications for this high performance cell range. Best suited for very short duration discharge periods between one second to 60 minutes at very high discharge currents.
