Quality is a major focus area for Incab which is why we ensure that our cables are manufactured from the best materials to produce the finest optical cable.[/vc_column_text][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”home-sidebar-widgets”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]Incab America offers cables for underwater installation down to 16,400 ft. Submersible cables are subject to great crush and tensile stresses, that’s why they should be durable enough and suitable for high pressure of subsea environment. Incab underwater cables are generally designed with galvanized steel wire armor.

Incab InWater cables are all robust designs that can be applied in sea areas (as coastal shelf fiber optic cable and deep sea fiber optic cable), on navigable rivers, in lakes and water storage basins, in harsh environments, in bogs and unnavigable rivers, wetlands.

Incab offers a couple of submersible fiber optic cables. To protect the cable core from water ingress and high humidity all Incab submersible cables are produced with water-blocking gel and water-swellable tape as well as aluminum and polymer tape. The use of aluminum compound tape can affect the penetration of moisture and protects optical fiber from hydrogen. Hydrogen, however, cannot damage modern fibers because the structure of silica glass is protected these days. Aluminum and polymer tape increases long-term mechanical strength when the cable exposed to moisture and abnormal levels of tensile stress on fiber surface.

All Incab underwater fiber optic cables have a wide range of operating temperatures from -58°F to +158°F and installation temperatures from -22°F to +122°F (operating temperature range can be increased on request).
