InAir Figure 8 CT FRP is a central tube cable with a fiberglass rod as an external strength member. It’s a cost-effective aerial fiber optic cable with a reduced weight and size. This design is all-dielectric and UV-resistant. It also has a wide range of operating temperatures from -58°F to +158°F and installation temperatures from -22°F to +122°F.
InAir Figure 8 CT FRP features multi-purpose outdoor installation. The typical type of installation is overhead fiber optic cable installation between poles and buildings, though it can also be pulled into underground ducts and sewer pipes as well as installed into indoor/outdoor cable conduits and trays.
This cable consists of a central loose tube with optical fibers (up to 24). Free space inside the tube is filled with water-blocking gel. FRP rod is used as a suspension element.
